I am standing as the Conservative Party candidate once again in this election and have pledged to continue to be an open, accountable, and accessible MP for all residents within the Calder Valley.
This is the most important election in a generation. We need this election now to secure the strong and stable leadership that the United Kingdom needs to see us through Brexit and beyond, and to maintain the economic progress that we have made in Calder Valley over the last seven years.
Every vote will count on Polling Day. It will count to strengthen Theresa May’s and the UK’s negotiating position on Brexit. Your vote helps her secure the best deal to strengthen our economy, and helps us get on with the job of making life in the United Kingdom even better.
This election is a choice between Theresa May’s Conservative Team providing strong and stable leadership for the United Kingdom, or a coalition of chaos and instability led by a failed and bumbling Jeremy Corbyn that will put our nation’s future at risk.
Here in Calder Valley, I am determined to continue to hold the Environment Agency and the Council to account in ensuring that flood prevention measures are delivered on time and budget, using the unprecedented funding of over £75 million that I helped to secure from central Government for our area.
I will also continue to fight to defend our local NHS services, deliver transport infrastructure improvements, and work tirelessly to support the creation of jobs and investment into the Calder Valley.
We have come a long way over the last seven years but there is plenty left to do. It would be a privilege and an honour to continue to serve as the MP for Calder Valley and to finish off the work that I have started.
